No, I was arrested in NYC performing with a MUNY Permit in Times Square.

Street performing goes back to Benjamin Franklin?

The South Street Seaport IS PRIVATE regulated tourist space.
The Edinburgh performers are facing a FEE TO WORK that I organized against
in NYC at the South
Street Seaport, with many thanks to local unions and concerned folk.

The FEE was reversed! The Management had a Street Performer Festival
called the "Busker's Fare" in
2005. I was arrested one month before the festival and held for 48 hours
while performing in the
Subway (METRO Train in NYC). The festival was June 17th-18th, performers
were all paid small
stipends, and I was grateful and thanked the sponsors of River-To-River &
LOMA.

There has not been another Street Performer festival since 2005.

Good luck.

Sincerely, Josh.
